Does Buckman provide hangers for hanging art on the grid panels if I chose a panel set up option?
Buckman does provide a limited number of S-hooks and grid hangers on a first-come, first-serve basis during check-in on Friday evening and Saturday morning. However, to ensure that you have the type and number that you need, it is recommended that you provide your own.
What days and times can I set up my gallery space?
Artists can set up on April 8th, Friday evening between 6:30 pm-830 pm or on Saturday morning with permission from Michelle, between 8:30am-9:30am. The galleries will only be open and available for artists to set up during those scheduled times. Vaccine cards or negative test results from April 5-8th will be checked at artist check in. We will follow school and state mask mandates, which at the writing of the FAQ is optional indoors. You are welcome to continue masking, but it is not required. Currently about 75% of our students are continuing to mask, and respecting other's choices is emphasized. We will have hepa filters in each room, and doors open where possible.
Does Buckman supply chairs, or should I bring my own?
You will need to bring your own chair or stool. Because we are an elementary school, we have a number of very small kid-size chairs, but very few adult-size ones.
When do I need to remove my art after the show is over?
Show take-down is from 5-6:30 on Saturday. Doors will be locked at 6:30. The school building will be locked at the conclusion of take-down & will remain locked for the remainder of the weekend.

The Buckman Art Show & Sell is happy to be returning to an in person event for our 32nd year! This is a juried show and will be 1 day this year in the heart of SE Portland, 320 NE 16th Ave, near Stark and 16th. This beloved tradition helps fund the arts integration at Buckman Arts Focus Elementary.
We will be open for set up on the evening of Friday, April 8th and Saturday morning set up is available by approval only. We are operating in a booth fee model, booths range from $110-130 and are for space only. Table or panel rentals are available. We are reducing the number of artists accepted for this show, so we can offer more spacing for guests and artists. Because of this we will not be accepting aromatherapy or soaps to prioritize visual arts.
