The 2022 Buckman Art Show and Sell is a one day arts fair featuring professional artists and Buckman students (current and alumni).
Professional artists sell their work in booths. Student art is displayed on tables by grade and managed by volunteers who will display the art, ring it up, and collect payment.

Does my student need to be at the show all day to participate?
No. Because of space constraints and COVID students cannot stay with their art during the show.
What do students make?
Cards, jewelry, bookmarks, books, plant pots, drawings, paintings, fidgets, clay sculptures, friendship bracelets, magnets, comics, or if you need more ideas try googling “kids arts and crafts to sell”
Please do not make:
Food items, slime, stress balls, or anything with liquid. We don’t want to have any accidents.
How many things should my student make
It is up to you, your student can bring one thing or many things.
How much should each piece of art cost?
It is up to you, but each item needs to be priced at a whole dollar amount (the lowest price being $1).
My student doesn’t want to make anything
That is completely fine! You are still welcome to come and check out all of the artists' and students’ work. This is a wonderful community event at Buckman and we hope you attend. You will spot some of Portland’s favorite makers selling their creations.
Is there a fee to participate?
No, students and alumni (under 18) do not have to pay a fee to sell their art. There is a commission, so students keep 70% of the sale price and 30% goes to the PTA. Students receive payment within 30 days.
There is a $5 suggested donation for adults at the door to enter the show.
Is this part of the auction?
No, this is different. The Art Show and Sell showcases local professional and student artists and is a fundraiser for the Buckman PTA. The auction is later in the spring and benefits the Buckman Foundation.

Student artist sign ups
All students (and alumni under 18) are invited to sell their arts and crafts at Buckman’s 32nd Art Show and Sell! This is a fun and creative way to make money AND raise money for our school! Students keep 70% of their sales and 30% goes to Buckman
All students who want to sell items must sign up to get an artist number. Sign up at this link.
There is no limit to how many students can sign up and students do not stay with their work during the show. If your student is not sure if they want to sell anything, it’s better to go ahead and sign up just in case! Forgot if you signed up? It’s ok to sign up again. The deadline to sign up and get a student artist number is March 18th.
Items to be sold will be collected before school on April 6th - 7th. Friday, April 8th art can be dropped off between 11-12 as well. Unfortunately we are not able to sell food, slime, liquid things or stress balls. Please contact Korrin Weldon with any questions. korrinweldon@gmail.com

This show is a 110% Volunteer run event. We accept help from not only the families of the school, but also high school students that need community volunteer hours, and some jobs are set up to have your student help you during the shift. Details will be on the sign up sheet. Most shifts are around 2 hours. We are also looking for parents interested in helping with the pre-show work for the 2023 show, so connect with us if that is you! Click HERE to see open volunteer spots.
